Gerhard Henning

Gerhard Henning (1880-1967) was a Swedish-Danish sculptor. While working at the Royal Danish Porcelain Factory, he designed a number of delicately decorated figurines. He is however remembered above all as one of the most important contributors to the female figure in Danish sculpture.

Together with the celebrated sculptor Kai Nielsen he studied the art of Auguste Rodin and Artistide Maillol in the Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek, as well as the rich collections of works from Egyptian, Greek and Roman antiquity.
